Engineering & Design Technician (Lighting Designer) Engineering & Design Technician (Lighting Designer) Spennymoor, UK SpotLIGHT of the job We are recruiting for an Engineering & Design Technician to join our team in the Spennymoor commercial office on a 10 month Fixed Term Contract. You would be responsible for on time delivery of aesthetically pleasing, functional, and energy-efficient lighting solutions for a wide variety of internal and external spaces, including commercial, residential, urban, and architectural projects. Responsibilities You will provide conceptual and technical lighting design support to the UK Sales teams with effective use of software packages. Producing technical calculations, CAD drawings, quantity schedules, information packs and client presentations. Review design briefs to ensure both technical and commercial understanding of the project requirements. Attend site visits and customer meetings where required. Providing technical advice and guidance to the sales teams and customers alike Knowledge of national and international standards and guidelines. Skills & Experience Professional experience in designing lighting systems LIF Certificate or ILP Lighting Diploma Experience including major projects, project management and customer contact. A proficient user of various lighting design software (including but not limited to Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Lighting Reality and AGI 32) Good presentation and communication skills.
